Come Celebrate WBRS's 40th Anniversary This Saturday!

It's hard to believe, but WBRS is turning 40 this year! What better way to celebrate than with a concert that will bring together some of the station's favorite acts, both past and present.

Come join us at Cholmondeley's Coffee House at Brandeis University (415 South Street in Waltham) for a show featuring four bands that are close to WBRS's heart, including:

The Allstonians - A blazing third-wave ska/reggae band formed in Allston, MA.
The Diamond Mines - Self-described as a "psych-soul-punk rock n' roll band from Boston."
Djatmaterra - An acoustic alternative rock band comprised of Brandeis alumni.
Zullo - A staple of the Brandeis music scene, this six-piece live-band hip hop group is made up of current students.

The concert will be kicking off at 9:00 p.m. this coming Saturday, March 29. It's free and open to the public, so feel free to bring along your friends, neighbors, cousins, mail carriers, and labmates.

We'll Be Right Back at it Tonight!

After a very successful day of Brandeis Judges Basketball, with the Women's come from behind 74-71 win against Southern Maine, and the Men's 80-59 home victory over Lasell, both teams will be right back at it tonight in the second round of the NCAA D3 Tournament.

Once again, WBRS Sports has you covered with extensive live coverage of tonight's contests. First at 6PM, its the womens game from NJ, as the Lady Judges look to knock off the host Kean University. The Men tip-off against Bowdoin from Red Auerbach Arena at 7PM.

Since the two games overlap, we're going to stick with the second half of the women's game as our primary broadcast. However, on every timeout we'll kick it back to Gosman for live updates of the mens first half (think of it like CBS's live look-ins for the NCAA tourney). We'll then send it over to the men for good once the women's game has ended.

As always, all the action can be heard live via our webcast (links above and to the right). You can catch the broadcasts on the radio at 100.1FM in the Waltham area.
