Alphabet Soup

by Susan Wodiska
CanÕt get enough of that alphabet soup! No, not the product from CampbellÕs, silly. Alphabet Soup is the two hours chock full of childrenÕs programming, every weekday morning from 6am - 8am on WBRS.

Dedicated DJs wake up before the sun rises to bring you the best in childrenÕs music, stories and information. But this show isnÕt just for kids. As with all shows on WBRS, we choose our selections from a wide variety of music spanning many different cultures and genres. Plus, we give away all sorts of free things on the air, including childrenÕs tapes, CDs and books. And, of course, weÕre always willing to take requests.

Our listeners are almost as diverse as our programming, ranging from children of all ages, to college students coming off an all-nighter, to anyone else who happens to be awake at six in the morning. So whether you crave stories like Dr. SeussÕs classic, ÒHorton Hatches an Egg,Ó silly songs such as Barry Louis PolisarÕs, ÒDonÕt Be Rude to a Rhinoceros,Ó celebrity recordings like Paul McCartneyÕs version of ÒMary Had a Little Lamb,Ó or even a cut off of the new hit album from the Muppets, ÒKermit UnPigged,Ó Alphabet Soup is the show for you.

LetÕs all alphabetize!
