WBRS would like to officially welcome all of the new members to the station! Tonight we had hosted a new members meeting in Brandeis’ Shapiro Campus Center and were all really impressed with the turnout. We are all looking forward to listening to the new Music, Sports, News, and Talk shows our new members have to offer.
The WBRS Sports department is HUGE things this semester. Be sure to listen today at 5:00 PM to “The Sports Cafe” hosted by Jesse Manning as they will be interviewing former New England Patriot Brent Williams about the upcoming NFL season. Also, be sure to listen to “The Sports Reflectors” on Wednesdays at 9:00 PM, hosted by Danny Reisner, to hear the interview he did with former Patriot Tony Collins.
For the second year in a row WBRS will be broadcasting the championship game of the Mohawk National League. The village of Mohawk at Camp Seneca Lake in Penn Yan, NY runs a softball league each year. This years matchup is between the Party Boat Pirates and the Waterfront Indians so tune in at 2:35 for the first pitch.

Boxing organization Ring 8 has donated an Everlast Boxing Glove signed by 6 World Champions Leon Spinks, Vito Antuofermo, Marvis Frazier, Iran Barkley, Emile Griffith and the legendary Smokin Joe Frazier. At the end of September, students from the IDC in Israel as well as Brandeis University were given the opportunity to interview the Presidents of both institutions. This program was special because it represented the first move toward a partnership between IDC and Brandeis.
