WBRS Sports Staff 2011-2012

Sports Director Jesse Manning

Jesse Manning is on the Executive Board if WBRS, having been a panelist on shows for 3 years and now holding the position of Sports Director of the station. He is a junior at Brandeis where he is majoring in American Studies and Politics and minoring in Journalism.

Michael Perloff is a senior at Brandeis University. He is a Politics and Economics major and a fourth year broadcaster for WBRS He has been hosting The Real Time Sports Show during his entire tenure at Brandeis University.

Jeff Klein is a senior at Brandeis and a four year member of the WBRS team. Majoring in Economics and International Global Studies, Jeff brings his passion for statistical analysis, pro football and pop-culture to his fantasy football show on Tuesday nights. In addition to providing panel and analytical commentary for other WBRS sports shows and Brandeis athletics games, he finds time to ski for the ski team, work as a chatter in the admissions office, and treat the campus as his country club – playing tennis, squash, going on bike rides and watching Curb Your Enthusiasm to his heart’s content.

Jordan Hinahara is a senior in HSSP at Brandeis, and is excited to join the WBRS team this year. A member of the Slam Poetry team and the musical director of her a-cappella group, Jordan always seems to have something going on. When she’s not in meetings, though, you can usually find her watching the NFL, NHL, MLB, or NCAA – or the NBA, when it’s on. A Wisconsin sports enthusiast, she is knowledgeable in all things football and beer related. You can catch her analysis on Beers and Balls with Jesse Manning and Joe Correia.

Erica Lubitz is a senior at Brandeis University studying Creative Writing, Theater Arts, and Literature. Skiing is her favorite athletic past time, but she also enjoys painting, listening to rap music, hosting the WBRS radio show the Sports Cafe with her co-captain Jesse Manning, spending time with sorority sisters, and yoga. Brandeis Ski Team has made her Brandeis career so fulfilling, it’s going to be an awesome season and a great senior year!

Joe Correia

Jeff Boxer is a junior majoring in politics and minoring in East Asian studies. He is the sports editor of the Justice, and spends much of his time watching sports, playing pickup basketball, and competing in intramural sports. His sports areas of expertise are the NFL, English soccer, basketball, baseball, and a bit of hockey.

Max Goldstein is from Needham MA, is a junior HSSP major. He loves sports and enjoys working out. He also runs his own on-campus business, Brandeis Campus Shirts.

Max Goldstein is a junior History major. He happens to be the greatest person ever. He loves sports, especially, the New York FOOTBALL Giants. Max is an avid sports video gamer who’s bark and bite are not always on the same page. He has won numerous awards for being the nicest and most selfless, considerate person at Brandeis.

Doug Saffir: Hi, my name is Doug Saffir! I’m a Brandeis senior, a politics major, and I have been with WBRS Sports since my freshman year. The department puts out really high quality radio hosted by some hilarious and intelligent people, so definitely give a listen!

Adam Schlitt is a second year veteran of the WBRS sports department. He was a panelist last year on the Sports Cafe and broadcasted a few baseball and basketball games. This year he is looking to return to The Sports Cafe with Jesse Manning and Erica Lubitz while hosting his own show with Danny Reisner. He is a sophomore who is looking to major in International and Global Studies.

Danny Reisner is a sophomore at Brandeis and a new member of the WBRS family. He is a multi-faceted sports fan, and is able to provide excellent analysis in all sports, but his true passion and expertise lies in hockey. He is a member of the Brandeis club hockey team and is the Social and Cultural Events Coordinator for Hillel at Brandeis. You can hear him as a panelist on The Sports Café, although he is constantly looking for more airtime.

Jon Yefet is a senior at Brandeis and the co-host of the Fantasy Football show on Tuesday nights. Jon brings his knowledge of taking the prize in high-stakes fantasy football leagues, where losing is not an option, to the general Brandeis community. He majors in English (as a second language).
