Tune in Sundays 9pm 100.1 fm or wbrs.org

Ska is a style of music that has been around for over 40 years. Taking cues from American R&B heard over the radio from New Orleans, it originated in Jamaica in the 1960s, made its way over to England in the 1970s, and most recently landed in the United States in the 1980s. In each place that ska made a splash, it has been expanded and blended countless times, developing into other such styles as rocksteady, reggae, ska-punk, and more.

To learn and hear more of this diverse and often underappreciated music, tune your radio into wbrs 100.1 fm around Boston or your web browser to http://www.wbrs.org this Sunday night 4/13 at 9:00pm EST for Rudeboy Riddims-- Three Waves At A Time.

Also, be sure to enhance your knowledge of reggae and dancehall by tuning into Rudeboy Riddims-- Nice Up The Dance every Saturday night at 9:00 pm EST with Mateo on wbrs 100.1 fm around Boston and wbrs.org on your computer.
