Webcasts Restored
It took a bit longer than hoped, but our webcast encoder is up and running again. This means the high speed / campus-only webcast should work again as well...so you Brandeis folks who live in buildings with thick concrete walls can enjoy radio-quality WBRS without the radio once again! :-)
It also means our main Live365 webcast is back to 40kbps mono. Apologies if you were enjoying the higher bitrate but it was too high for our modem users, of which there's more than you might think.
Please note this is a separate issue from RIAA/SoundExchange trying to squeeze college radio as a whole for outrageously high webcast royalty fees. We still need your support in that fight...mostly in the form of you contacting your US Representative or Senator in Congress. For more information, visit www.savenetradio.org
