How Good Will The 2007-08 Trailblazers be?
Congrats Portland! You just got Greg Oden! Let's take a look at this young but extremely talented Blazers team.
Starting 5
PG: Jarret Jack
SG: Brandon Roy
SF: Ime Udoka
PF: Zack Randolph
C: Greg Oden
Bench
LaMarcus Aldridge
Joel Pryzbilla
Martell Webster
Jamaal Magloire
Travis Outlaw
Sergio Rodriguez
Dan Dickau
This is certainly a young team, but with scorers in Roy and Randolph, a solid PG in Jack, and quality interior defense provided by Aldridge and Oden, I believe this team will be in contention for the 8 seed next year and watch out for this team to make some serious playoff pushes in three or four years.

Here's what's going to happen:
1. They trade Randolph for a backup PF and a 6th man swingman (a la DeShawn Stevenson) and move Aldridge into the starting lineup permanently.
2. Jarrett Jack? Not the long-term answer at that position, and until they figure a way around that, it'll be tough for them to REALLY contend. Sure, Roy can dish it, but he's better at the two.
3. Udoka is an unrestricted free agent; they may sign him or go after somebody else to fill a bench spot and let Webster get the minutes at the three.
4. Charlie Bell will end up here; he can back up at either guard position and dish it out when he's in, which fits the job description needed perfectly.
In a matter of time Roy's knee issues will catch up to him. Oh please, please catch up to him.
Yeah that should be pretty fun to watch... as should the Sonics.
Ravi, it is sick that you have to wish injury upon Brandon Roy simply in order to validate a awful trade.
A celts lineup with Pierce, Roy, Green and Jefferson. Wow, that is actually quality.
No, that's not what the blazers will do. First off, someone in the organization has said they are not looking to trade Randolph, but since there are so many rumors of that flying around, let's say they do. Then
1. They would trade Randolph for a backup PF maybe, but not a backup swingman as they already have several (Udoka, Webster, Outlaw, maybe even Miles, though I really hope he retires). They'll instead look for a very strong starting SF, probably Rashard Lewis, who has a good past relationship with McMillan and would not be moving too far.
2. Jarrett Jack is staying. McMillan loves him for some reason-he's a very good player, but I think Sergio deserves more playing time, he has some talent
3. Udoka will almost certainly resign as he grew up in Portland and went to PSU-he's the hometown hero now that Damon's gone. The free agents who will be leaving are Outlaw (maybe) and Magloire (almost certainly).
4. Charlie Bell? Where'd you hear that? I wouldn't be unhappy but it seems rather unnecessary
