Poor Poor Little Irish Fans

Welcome to reality Notre Dame football fans. A streak perhaps as impressive as Ripken Jr.'s 2,632 consecutive games, will come to an end this weekend when the fighting Irish's game against Air Force won't be shown on NBC, ABC, CBS, or ESPN. When was the last time that happened? 169 games ago...aka 1992. The game will still be available on CSTV, however viewership will be much less on the obscure channel that not everyone has.
Why is the game not nationally televised? "The home team controls where the games are broadcast. CSTV has the rights to the game through its contract with the Mountain West Conference. Air Force is a conference member."
Looks like most Notre Dame fans will have to resort to listening to the radio broadcast online or following the game on websites like CBS Sportsline or ESPN.com. Poor Notre Dame fans...they never can catch a break.
