The Real Life Little Giants...Almost

Just like the Little Giants, nobody believes in the Oscoda Area High School football team. After getting shutout in their first four games this season (46-0, 30-0, 44-0, 44-0) the school district has canceled the remainder of the Michigan based team's season. Talk about no one believing in this team, it was the head coach, Kyle Tobin, who came up with the idea of ending the season early..."I have 28 years of coaching experience in high school and college, and I know the difference between a team playing bad and a team that's unsafe."
Senior quarterback Mike Gondek pleaded with the school board to reverse their decision, insisting: "All I ever wanted to do was play football. My teammates never felt so unsafe that we didn't want to be out there."
Unfortunately for Gondek and his teammates the school board's decision is final and they have forfeited the remainder of the games on their schedule. My message to the school board is this: If the kids want to play, let them play. Go rent Little Giants and pop it in your DVD player and watch the Little Giants pull off a victory when not a single person believed in them...Perhaps Oscoda Area High School could have won a game like that, but I guess we will never know.

It really is unfortunate when your team is that overmatched when you have to quit your season.
How are the seniors gonna "get some" when they aren't football players anymore? Shake and Bake Baby!
They should have called The Annexation of Puerto Rico more.... they wouldn't have been shut out three times.
