Just Because It Is Good Doesn't Mean People Will Watch
With the World Series tied at 1-1, this thing might end up being a decently entertaining series...contrary to what most believed before it began. But just because it has been good doesn't mean people will watch. In fact, this Mid-Country World Series has recorded the worst ever average rating for the first two games. An average of 9.8 isn't good. I guess this is what happens when none of the New York teams are playing in late-October.

As Tim McCarver might say, the people who aren't watching are missing a classic battle between Luis Pujols and Steve Rogers.
Baseball is becoming a less and less appealing sport to watch when you don't actually care who wins. And I guess the heavily populated coastal regions couldn't care less about two midwestern teams.
It has nothing to do with the NY teams. The 2000 World Series was one of the lowest rated.
I just feel like if the World Series doesn't involve the Mets, Yanks, or Red Sox than not too many people care.
i won't watch b/c it's on fox. joe buck and mccarver take all the fun out of it. if it was called by jon miller, i'd be glued...no matter who was playing.
I must admit... I've hardly watched any of it.
People just don't care about the Tigers or the Cardinals. And judging by the pathetic hitting performance by the Tigers, they are correct.
I bet the ratings would climb if they did not allow Tim McCarver to say a thing. And maybe they would climb if there was actually something to watch, the teams participating aside... I think the most exciting moment thus far has been when they couldn't find John Mellencamp. Even Kenny Rogers' "dirt" was resolved quietly.....
