NBA Turned Soft?

YOU TELL ME....WATCH THE VIDEO
AND IN THE COMMENTS SECTION LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK IT IS WORTY OF A ONE GAME SUSPENSION...AND WHEN DECIDING, YOU SHOULD HAVE IN MIND THE FACT THAT THE NBA IS HANDING THESE SUSPENSIONS OUT AT A RATE SIMILAR TO HAWAIIN JOE HANDING OUT PAMPHLETS ADVOCATING THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA. REGARDLESS I STILL DON'T THINK JASON TERRY SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR GAME 6.

Yea I agree. No way Terry should have been suspended. He barely even touched him.

The NBA has gotten really soft. It is kind of embarrassing.

No suspension. There was a tap on the stomach at most. MAYBE. Only in 1 angle is it maybe really discernable. Don't affect the game with such a trivial call. Tech, fine, Flagrant, whatev, not a suspension though.

You will find fewer bigger Jason Terry fans out there than me, but there's no question the suspension was justified. Regardless of where the punch occured, it was still a punch, and the rule is that any punch is an automatic suspension.

Mark Cuban's claim that the ruling is inconsistent is legitimate, but just because the NBA screwed up with the Reggie Evans situation doesn't mean they should let Terry off the hook. The punch may have been hard to notice, but the fact is that it occured. Mark Cuban and Dallas fans can cry all they want, but the suspension is justified.

I disagree. The most crucial aspect of refing and deciding on suspensions is consistency. If the Evans play did not result in a suspension, there is no way that this one can. Sure fine Terry ten grand, but Dallas is at a huge disadvantage without him and this could mean the end of their season and I think that is a joke.

Also, the NBA didn't screw up with the Evans play but rather with the Terry play. The NBA uses video replay to look at plays to determine if a suspension should be applied. So, the NBA reviewed Evans play over and over and decided that pulling someone's testicles from behind is not worthy of a suspension. If that isn't, I can't see how Terry's play is.
