NCAA Tourney really is Madness, TO to Dallas

Plenty of upsets and plenty of almost upsets! The current bracket is full of upsets. You have to wonder what this means for college basketball and if this parity is good for basketball. I think it is great and I expect a 16 seed to beat a 1 seed, heck we almost saw it this year! Also it seems like the 16, 15, 14 and 13 seeds really do have guards that are almost as good if not as good as the seeded teams, however the difference in quality of big men is substantial. I am curious though if this parity will remain, with all of the new top high school players having to play at least 1 year in college, I expect them to go to the top teams in the country, making them even better.

As a Cowboys fan I am extremely excited about getting Terrell Owens. He is a phenomenal playmake and will make every aspect of the offense better. While you can look at his troubled past I do think he will act like a "good boy" at least this first year as he tries to redeem himself. This situation is similar to Ron Artest in Sacramento and if you have noticed lately Artest hasn't acted out since being trade and also Sacramento is winning. The Dallas Cowboys were not a Super Bowl contender before getting TO but now it seems they are only one or two off-season signings away from being a Super Bowl contender...That is why I love this move!

Owens and Glenn are going to be a monster combo if Bledsoe can stay healthy; if he can't, it could be a long and tumultuous season for the Cowboys.

Oh, and I can't believe Ohio State lost to Georgetown. Screwed up my whole bracket.

Young Nucleaus,

Thank you for your contribution to the blog, it is greatly appreciated! I agree with your assessment of the Cowboys. But I think by stating that Owens and Glenn will have a montser combo season if Bledsoe stays healthy validates the trade. Some people were against the trade however I disagree with them. If the Cowboys do not make the deal they have a minute chance of winning the NFC if any at all. But in the wide open NFC, all must admit that now the Cowboys are significantly better and have a much better chance of winning the NFC. Who cares if the deal blows up because in my estimation the Cowboys would not have been able to win the NFC without Owens!

I'm still going with my Giants in the NFC East...and I'm still going with UCONN from the Big East

Man, my breacket is so destroyed. This is why foreigner (and a soccer fan at that) should never bet his hard-earned money on NCAA basketball. Cuse, Kansas, Ohio State...this is part of the reason i'm drinking now.

Andrew, I am glad football season doesn't start for a while. Thus you have plenty of time to believe the nonsense in which you speak (Giants to win the NFC East). At the moment I think the Giants will finish behind the Cowboys and Redskins, in large part because of these two teams' offseason moves and the Giants lack of offseason moves.

Gettinpissedatelections,
Thanks for the post. Having your bracket destroyed is a terrible and painful thing. I have written you a poem to help console you...

Oh bracket, Oh bracket,
what did you do?
I thought I could predict you,
Now in my pool I am through.

Kansas and Ohio State,
two of my teams that fell.
Final four talk no more,
you can go straight to hell.

Next year, next year,
there will be another chance,
Perhaps at that time,
I will correctly predict the dance.
